Maybe you're here because…

You're the one everyone leans on, but no one really asks how you're doing.

You look like you've got it together. Inside, it feels like you're barely holding on.

You're good at wearing the mask, upbeat at work, easy-going with friends, but underneath it you feel isolated and low.

Nothing you do ever feels quite good enough, no matter how much you achieve.

You've read the books, tried the apps, and you're still stuck in the same place.

You keep replaying the same moment, wondering why it still has a hold on you.

You've spent years feeling like you're trying twice as hard just to keep up.

You're tired of carrying something you've never said out loud.

If any of this feels familiar, let's talk

Dr. Neelam Laxhman

A space to be heard.
A practice to trust.

I'm a Clinical Psychologist who trained and practised across public and private settings in the UK. I specialise in working with adults, aged 18 and over, navigating some of life's most difficult chapters.

My approach is grounded in genuine curiosity about you, your history, your patterns, and what's been getting in the way. Sessions feel like a real conversation: honest, unhurried, and always on your terms. I'll help you make sense of what you're experiencing, understand where it comes from, and find a way forward that actually fits your life.

Therapeutic Approaches

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, tailored to what you actually need.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Helps you identify and shift the thought patterns and behaviours keeping you stuck
  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) For those who are their own harshest critic; builds a kinder relationship with yourself
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Helps you stop fighting how you feel and start living in line with what matters to you
  • Psychodynamic Therapy Explores how your past is showing up in your present, and why
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Practical skills for managing overwhelming emotions and difficult relationships
  • Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) A specialist, evidence-based therapy for processing trauma and painful memories

The
approach

Thoughtful. Unhurried. But always moving forward.

01

Some people arrive not knowing where to start. Others come in with everything mapped out. Both are fine. What matters is that you showed up.

02

You might have a realisation mid-sentence. You might cry, or laugh, or sit with something uncomfortable for the first time. Sometimes sessions feel like hard work. Sometimes they feel like relief. Often both.

03

I ask questions that go a little deeper, not to catch you out, but because the right question at the right moment can shift something that's been stuck for years. I'm curious about you, genuinely, and that curiosity tends to go places.

04

You'll leave with something, whether that's clarity, a new way of seeing something, or simply the feeling of having been properly heard.

05

My work is exclusively with adults, aged 18 and over. Whatever brings you here, this is a confidential space that's entirely your own, unhurried and built around what you actually need.

What clients say

"

I'd been putting off an ADHD assessment for years, unsure what to expect. The whole process felt clear and well-paced, from the first call right through to the feedback session. Having a proper report finally gave me the answers, and the language, I'd been looking for.

— J.P., Adult ADHD assessment

"

I started therapy feeling constantly anxious and pretty low. I didn't really know where to start, but it felt like an easy space to just be myself. Over time, things began to click, and I've picked up ways to manage my thoughts that actually work for me. I feel a lot more like myself again.

— R.M., Anxiety & low mood

"

I was quite unsure about EMDR at first and didn't know what to expect. But everything was explained in a way that made it feel much less daunting. The sessions felt safe and never rushed. The memories I was struggling with don't have the same hold over me anymore, and day-to-day life just feels a lot lighter.

— S.K., Trauma & EMDR
